THE CONFERENCE FINAL MATCHUPS ARE SET FOR JULY 7! BIC vs THE U IN THE EAST AND INSOMNIACS vs SICKWITIT IN THE WEST

Sunday’s Games Brought Some Big Surprises On The Field In New Jersey And A Bit Of A Formality In Las Vegas.

In a game where the A7FL Scoring record was broken in a historic back-and-forth battle of two quarterbacks who threw a combined 742 yards, Quany Morgan had over 500 all-purpose yards, it would be defense who’d clinch the Trenton BIC’s return to the National Semi-finals.

Four interceptions for David Tender would be the most important number as the Animals would be sent back to their timeline, as the BIC will face the Paterson U in the continuation of the A7FL’s biggest rivalry.

The U would get the win over a resilient Tampa NightCrawlers team that due to historic airport closures in Tampa, would be shorthanded against Paterson, and while players like former NFL’er Dominque Rodgers Cromartie and Sean Flynn would step up for Logo Davis, Mark Bagway, and Deyonte Henderson, they would not be able to withstand Paterson’s depth and ability to flex different looks at their opponents defensively and offensively.

On Offense Quatrelle Huffin’s day would end early due to an injury during a 3 on 1 coverage play, Kareen Moon would control the pace for the U, as the all-time great would utilize the team’s unique depth at Running Back, as Marcus “Hardbody” McKinney, Angelo Lewis Jr, and Willie “Mayweather” Easterling would walk down the Nightcrawlers like Easterling’s Namesake to get their rematch with the BIC.

Game two in NJ would bring together an underdog Silk City Animals team against the undefeated Trenton BIC. NO ONE was ready for what was about to take place. Led by what will most likely be the league’s rookie of the year, Quanny “Ghost” Morgan, the Animals came to play and never gave up. 

In a game that would see the record broken for the most points scored in an A7FL game, 148, every score was answered by the other team all day long. In the end, a BIC interception in the final 2 minutes of play would end the Animals’ hopes in a historic game all around.

Finally, the late game in the West brought the Las Vegas Over The Top and SickWitIt together in what became little more than a formality. An undefeated SickWitIt dominated the night and stamped their ticket to the Western Conference Final against the awaiting 2023 Championship Insomniacs. See you July 7!
